Norfolk, VA – Days after MAGA Lt. Governor Winsome Earle-Sears told CNN, “There are no Virginians who are going to lose their Medicaid coverage in Virginia unless that’s something that they choose,” AG Jason Miyares still hasn’t pushed back against her blatant, extremist lie.
Before Washington extremists slashed Medicaid funding, Miyares led the charge in Richmond. As a delegate, he introduced legislation to impose harsh work requirements and push thousands of Virginians off coverage – the same plan now at the core of the Republicans’ reconciliation bill, which will cause “about 350,000 people in Virginia” to lose health insurance and strip $26 billion “in funding for health providers in Virginia.”
