Norfolk, VA – New reporting shows how the devastating Medicaid cuts pushed through Congress this year, which will cause “hundreds of thousands of Virginians [to] lose their health insurance,” aren’t new – in fact, they started with Jason Miyares in Virginia.
Before MAGA extremists in Washington moved to slash Medicaid funding, Miyares led the charge in Richmond. As a delegate, he introduced legislation that would push thousands of Virginians off coverage. That same plan is now at the core of the Republicans’ reconciliation bill, which will cause “about 350,000 people in Virginia” to lose health insurance and strip $26 billion “in funding for health providers in Virginia.”
