Attorney General-Elect Jay Jones’ Statement on Veterans Day

Norfolk, VA – Today, Attorney General-Elect Jay Jones released the following statement honoring Veterans Day 2025.

“Today, we honor our veterans for their extraordinary service, sacrifice, and commitment to our country and to safeguarding our freedoms.

“Each Veterans Day, I’m especially reminded of my grandfather and his service in the U.S. Marine Corps. His example, and that of so many others who wore the uniform, continues to inspire me every day to serve our Commonwealth with integrity and purpose.

“It is our great responsibility to ensure that every veteran, including the more than 678,000 who call Virginia home, has access to the quality healthcare and the support and opportunities they deserve. As Virginia’s next Attorney General, I will always defend Virginia’s veterans and their families.”
