Miyares Set to Headline Conference Hosted by Anti-Abortion Attorneys

Norfolk, VA – This week, Jason Miyares is set to provide opening remarks at a conference hosted by Founding Freedoms Law Center, the legal arm of The Family Foundation, one of the most extreme anti-abortion institutions in the country. Last year, FFLC sued Richmond for approving the use of a “surplus, city-owned building for a Planned Parenthood center” – so it’s no surprise that Miyares aligns himself with them, given his multiple efforts to defund Planned Parenthood, including refusing to push back against the Trump administration’s efforts to defund it.

This isn’t the first time Miyares has joined The Family Foundation. Earlier this year, Miyares was an “expert presenter” at their event dedicated to stopping Virginia’s abortion amendment “dead in its tracks” before it reaches voters in 2026. During the event, Miyares said he was “excited to see the work they’ll continue to do and the lasting impact it will have on our Commonwealth,” pledging his allegiance to the most extreme flank of his party.
