Norfolk, VA – Virginians are being crushed by rising rents, disappearing affordable apartments, and the soaring cost of buying a home – and instead of protecting consumers from predatory landlords and price-gouging, MAGA Attorney General Jason Miyares has chosen higher profits for his campaign donors over people.
Throughout his time in the legislature, MAGA Miyares fought against affordable housing and protections for renters and homeowners – paving the way for discriminatory and abusive landlords, blocking affordable housing developments, and allowing foreclosures. Now, as Attorney General, MAGA Miyares has done all but nothing to protect consumers from predatory landlords or price-gouging, continuing the same pattern of siding with special interests over Virginia families. To make matters worse, Miyares has spent the last eight months refusing to stand up to Trump as tariffs and federal firings are making life more unaffordable.
